Imperfection: What Makes Life, Life.

Everyday people like you and me walk around this little blue planet we call home with no idea why we are here and wonder if anyone would notice if we were gone. Up to our eyes in responsibilities, work, and family, the stress brings many to their breaking point. We find our comforts in addictions, books, movies, and video games to escape the reality of our lives. Some take even more drastic measures to escape.

Why is life so hard sometimes? Why can’t it be perfect? Why do I have to live through this situation?

Trials are in the world to teach, train, and prepare us for the lives we have ahead. Things can’t be perfect, and in the words of Casey Neistat, “Perfection is the enemy of good…” and paraphrased from the Matrix, ‘…the imperfections of humanity is what makes it perfect…’ If things were perfect and we never failed, we would never learn, grow, or solve problems. Imperfection and mistakes are what make life, life, and oh what an amazing life it is.

Our only true purpose can be found through Christ who is “… the way and the truth and the life…” ‭‭(John‬ ‭14:6‬). The only one who can give us our true identity is Him. When you see your identity through Him, how can anyone offend you or talk you down? Did they give you your true meaning, purpose, and identity?

Everywhere you look the smallest of things make a huge difference. A clock can’t work if even the smallest cog is missing. Even on the smallest scale, if there was only one less atom in a water molecule, life as we know it wouldn’t exist. Take heart, the world would be a much different place without you, and there is no situation, trial, or phase that is too big for your Father in heaven, “… all things God works for the good of those who love him…” (Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭NIV‬‬).
